Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 3

Reflection

So at the end of the mission we got a satisfactory which was a decent score considering the fact that it was our very first mission that we have done. The presentation itself turned out very well with only 2 slides of history which was more than enough and for the class to be able to listen to the podcast very clearly. I think it was a good idea to shorten the podcast down completely and just have a little part of what we recorded, maybe we could have 2 or more parts for a bit more meat and to show the work that we actually did rather than just have one short one and that is it, because it looked like we just recorded the podcast in like five minutes.

One thing we can all definitely take from this mission is to have more meat in our missions so that we can show that we definitely spent more than 30 hour on this project. Because now that i look back on it the work wasn't really shown in the presentation, the time was spent but the work wasn't shown.

In this mission we all have a better understanding of what digital audio is about i think anyways, because especially in our research phase when we looked at all the different podcasts that are out there and instead of just listening to the podcast and what they are talking about as you would do normally we actually took the time out to see what techniques are used when recording a podcast and how do most podcasts out there make it more interesting and appealing to their audiences. So i found it very cool that we could actually use these techniques that we have learned and used them in our own way in our own podcasts.
Another thing i also really liked about this mission was the fact that we got to look at how podcasts have evolved over there time of being out there. Personally i found this interesting because i listen to a lot of podcasts and there basically the new age of radio almost and also how they have been there basically from the beginning of communications

What we can definitely take from this mission and bring into the rest of the ones in the future is to include more meat in my presentations and basically just to show more of what we have done over the 3 weeks of completing this mission.

Overall i found this mission very enjoyable to complete and was very happy with the final outcome of it all.

Mission 3-Digital Journalism Product For this project I was with Mark O'Brien and Jack Clinton, we decided to do Digital Journalism because we had some sort of interest in the topic and we thought it would be a suitable mission for the few weeks ahead. We weren't sure at the beginning how we where going to present the mission in video for because we wanted to get as much information across to our audience so we came up with a list of ideas of what we could do for this mission and the list is as follows: *A podcast where we can talk about a certain topic in Digital Journalism to date *A new show where we can make up a news story based around digital journalism *A voice over of a power point documentation based on the idea of digital journalism and everything about it from past to present In the end after multiple days of deciding Mark, Jack and I came to the conclusion that we where going to do the podcast, the reason being is because it was the best wa...

Mission 3-Digital Journalism Process For the process since we knew what we where doing and we had the time to complete this mission it was quite easy to finish it, it started off with the development phase where we all came together and decided what we wanted the podcast to be structured like. We had already know that we wanted to base it off a Joe Rogan podcast because his podcasts are the greatest one on the internet to date. So basically once we had our style for the podcast set out we each took a different topic to talk about on the podcast, I took Instagram and how they portray there news feed, Jack took Snapchat and the same again how do they portray there new, and Mark chose Twitter for his part. We then found a room that was quiet enough and not too echoey so the sound quality of the video wouldn't be bad we set up the camera and the microphone on the computer and began to record, we brought up our topics throughout the podcast and had a discussion on each, c...
