Mission 3-Digital Journalism



Reflection

This mission was really fun to do because we where able to be creative on how we done our video and everybody's was different. The mission was also good because we where able to take what we had learned from our previous missions and use it in this one which in my opinion really benefited us whilst doing the podcast and it also helped us during our editing phase.

This may have been the hardest mission to come up with the content, from the very beginning we didn't really know how or what we where going to do in our video, and yes you might say we had our suggested tasks but still we where definitely finding it hard of what the meat of our project could be,  the main thing we chose to do was how each application portrays there media and news stories and create something on that but it was really hard to find out what we should actually talk about on then podcast

The editing part of the podcast turned out really well even though when we listened to it in the lecture it didn't sound the best but if you actually listen to it on your own you can hear all of what we are saying and all the editing that went behind the making of the podcast, we actually talked some sense in the podcast and it was clear that you could see me and the boys knew what we where talking about whilst recording. The end product turned out well in the end, not my favorite that I have done so far in my projects but still turned out better than expected

If I was to go back and change and re do the project i would most definitely try to add more to the podcast whilst recording, add more content to it. If we talked for a lot longer than what we did I think it would come across better like we spent 30 hours on this project, and then maybe edit down the hour of talking to around 5 minutes of content.

Overall I really enjoyed doing the project and doing all the missions over the last semester. They have really been an experience and are completely different to what I was used to doing in secondary school, you can actually be so creative in these missions and express the talent you have. I was happy with my overall grade of each mission, there is loads of room for improvement but it was only my first set of missions so they will be so much better for the future and for other modules in the future also

Introducing myself Hi my name is Sam chapple  I'm  from Rush co  Dublin  and and am really  enjoying  this course at the moment. The class  I'm  enjoying at the moment is digital photography because  I  love the art of photography. Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 3

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 3 Reflection So at the end of the mission we got a satisfactory which was a decent score considering the fact that it was our very first mission that we have done. The presentation itself turned out very well with only 2 slides of history which was more than enough and for the class to be able to listen to the podcast very clearly. I think it was a good idea to shorten the podcast down completely and just have a little part of what we recorded, maybe we could have 2 or more parts for a bit more meat and to show the work that we actually did rather than just have one short one and that is it, because it looked like we just recorded the podcast in like five minutes.  One thing we can all definitely take from this mission is to have more meat in our missions so that we can show that we definitely spent more than 30 hour on this project.
