Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 1

For this mission the group i was in was with Mark O'Brien and Sam O'Sullivan. What our aim of this mission was and the final product we had to produce was what we chose to do and that was a podcast. We needed to explore Digital Audio in our own ways and explore how digital audio could be used in a podcast to make it turn out amazing and also interesting.
We knew by the end of this mission and the we would have a greater understanding of what digital audio is all about, and the end product would turn out to be a good way to show our understanding of Digital Audio.
We firstly knew we had to overcome not knowing each other which was a challenge in itself but we firstly had to consider what our goals would be for this mission. The goals where as followed:

*To explore the idea of digital audio
*To think about how digital audio is used in everyday life
*To think about how digital audio has changed drastically over time

We decided to go with a few options before choosing our final choice which was the podcast, here are the options:

*Make some sort of music video and use certain program's to edit it so it would sound more appealing.
*To create an interview of one of use and use software/hardware to create this video etc.
*To create a podcast where everyone could be involved and it would gives us an understanding of what digital audio is all about.

So as you know we decided to  go with the podcast because we knew we all had some interest in it and it would be fun to make  but we had to decide how we where going to portray this idea and make it interesting for the viewers to listen to. The product that we would have to have in the end would be both engaging and entertaining to the audience, rather than putting them to sleep. The end product would have to also show how we went about doing the mission and the challenges that we faced throughout.

This product at the end of the mission should also complete all the suggested tasks and much more to get the highest grade possible if we want to succeed in the mission, so our presentation should be short and sweet showing our knowledge of Digital Audio, also we would need to express and show everything that we used throughout from the software items that we used such as editing software's to the hardware items that where used like microphones and computers etc. But that would be in the power point rather than in the podcast itself because the podcast would be already long enough to be able to show the process that we went through.

Intro to myself

Introducing myself Hi my name is Sam chapple  I'm  from Rush co  Dublin  and and am really  enjoying  this course at the moment. The class  I'm  enjoying at the moment is digital photography because  I  love the art of photography. Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 3 Reflection So at the end of the mission we got a satisfactory which was a decent score considering the fact that it was our very first mission that we have done. The presentation itself turned out very well with only 2 slides of history which was more than enough and for the class to be able to listen to the podcast very clearly. I think it was a good idea to shorten the podcast down completely and just have a little part of what we recorded, maybe we could have 2 or more parts for a bit more meat and to show the work that we actually did rather than just have one short one and that is it, because it looked like we just recorded the podcast in like five minutes.  One thing we can all definitely take from this mission is to have more meat in our missions so that we can show that we definitely spent more than 30 hour on this project.
