Mission 3-Digital Journalism

For this project I was with Mark O'Brien and Jack Clinton, we decided to do Digital Journalism because we had some sort of interest in the topic and we thought it would be a suitable mission for the few weeks ahead. We weren't sure at the beginning how we where going to present the mission in video for because we wanted to get as much information across to our audience so we came up with a list of ideas of what we could do for this mission and the list is as follows:

*A podcast where we can talk about a certain topic in Digital Journalism to date

*A new show where we can make up a news story based around digital journalism

*A voice over of a power point documentation based on the idea of digital journalism and everything about it from past to present

In the end after multiple days of deciding Mark, Jack and I came to the conclusion that we where going to do the podcast, the reason being is because it was the best way to get as much information as possible across of what we thought digital journalism is all about. Mark and I especially could bring across our knowledge of podcast since we did complete one back in September with our first mission.

For this mission we had a\ few goals set in mind which we would like to have achieved and have a greater understanding of what digital journalism is all about. The goals where as follows:

*To understand how big news companies get there news articles out to the world via big applications such as Snapchat, Instagram etc.

*How do these applications make such news articles more visually appealing.

*What are the main problems to do with digital journalism at the moment.

So by the end of this mission we wished to have this goal met and much more. We felt that with a bit of editing to the podcast we could make it more engaging to the audience and to have it more visually appealing with screen recordings and images etc. We would most definitely be able to improve on this podcast because it was much easier to make it this time round. The video in the end came out to about 10 minutes long which was perfect because it allowed us to get the correct amount of information across to the class and give them our knowledge of what Digital Journalism is all about

Mission 1- Creativity-Digital Audio Blog 1 Product For this mission the group i was in was with Mark O'Brien and Sam O'Sullivan. What our aim of this mission was and the final product we had to produce was what we chose to do and that was a podcast. Intro to myself

Introducing myself Hi my name is Sam chapple I'm from Rush co Dublin and and am really enjoying this course at the moment. The class I'm enjoying at the moment is digital photography because I love the art of photography. My goal for this semester is to get the most of it and understand what is going on in this semester and of course work as hard as I possible can to achieve the most out of the semester. Mission 3-Digital Journalism Process For the process since we knew what we where doing and we had the time to complete this mission it was quite easy to finish it, it started off with the development phase where we all came together and decided what we wanted the podcast to be structured like. We had already know that we wanted to base it off a Joe Rogan podcast because his podcasts are the greatest one on the internet to date. So basically once we had our style for the podcast set out we each took a different topic to talk about on the podcast, I took Instagram and how they portray there news feed, Jack took Snapchat and the same again how do they portray there new, and Mark chose Twitter for his part. We then found a room that was quiet enough and not too echoey so the sound quality of the video wouldn't be bad we set up the camera and the microphone on the computer and began to record, we brought up our topics throughout the podcast and had a discussion on each, c
